Hey guys I'm applying for UCLA paramedic program. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how the emt portion of the entrance test is? I know "review your book" but I'm looking for a more specific answer like what do they focus on and what not to stress about etc. any input would be great!!

No specifics, just general EMT knowledge. Think of your EMT final. 100 EMT questions on everything

I am taking the test on Feb 15, have you found any more information?

It's going to be similar to your EMT-Basic. Just like Thrice said. Exactly how pretty much every EMT pre-employment or Paramedic school entrance test is.

Probably some basic algebra as well.

FWIW my program used the TEAS test (similar to the HOBET) + their education center's EMT-B Final for our entrance testing.

Yes, it will be the HOBET, all around knowledge test, not getting too crazy into any one aspect. On top of that as I said 100 questions on EMT material. Don't stress too much, I got a 0% (ya that's right) in one or two categories of the HOBET (organic chemistry was one of those, never had any exposure to the subject), and I scored in the 99th percentile on the test.

No way to study, just try not to give stupid answers :)
