I'm having nightmares about this. My stress level is through the roof right now, so this is what manifests in my dreams. :glare: Is the entire NREMT test really trick questions? Our instructor started throwing them into our tests and says the NR is just like that. The questions he puts down can be extremely strange sometimes. Bad wording and just plain not making sense. So I'm stressing about this. Can anyone tell me?

Take a deep breath and relax! The things you have to remember are to...
1. Read the entire question along with the answers sometimes A. might be the best looking answer to the question in the world but if you would have read D. you would have known otherwise.
2. Stick to the basics! Scene safety, BSI, ABC's and high flow oxygen.
3. Take your time and think things over.
4. Look at the vitals, respiration's at 8? Ventilate!

There are going to be some trick questions designed to fail you, use best judgment and what you know.

Yes and no.

The NR's version of trick questions is

"Do you;
Put them on air
Open their airway
Check for a pulse
Administer Epi pen"

Pretty much boils down to if they didn't say the patients airway was opened, or the patient was on oxygen in the original question, and it's one of the answers, then it's probably THE answer.
