What makes an in house training program good?

Qualified instructors who do not cave-in to external pressure when it comes to maintaining standards.

An employer who allows for paid training.
An employer who allows training to occur on shift interruption free.
An employer who if cannot do above, allows training to be scheduled more conveniently around the employee schedules as opposed to what is best/convenient for the instructor/s.
*Whether this be immediately following a shift or offered in shorter blocks over time.
An employer who structures a training program which offers enough training and the right courses needed for an employee to be eligible for re-certification without ever having to go to outside sources for additional requirements.
An employer who not only offers the above minimum for all to re-certify but also who offers unique or additional training simply to diversify staff knowledge and keep interest levels high.
An employer who thinks enough to offer the bare minimums for employees while attending the course in the way of nourishment (coffee, tea, water, small, light munchie food).
*This goes a LONG way to building loyalty, team rapport and perception of said event. It is sad how few realize this and claim no funding. The return on such a small investment is significant.
An employer who promotes/encourages the training and does not offer the courses, mandate the course and then roll the eyes while offering said course as if implying the training is not needed.
An employer who realizes adult learners are not children and different approaches and accommodations should be made and tolerated.
*This alone could be expanded into a dozen different topics.

I think I have given you enough food for thought.
