I had my last day on Dec 7th and I feel like that as well, we don't take the NR practical till the 25th of Jan. I mean i am ready for it but i still don't feel like an EMT.

It will take a little while working as an EMT to truly feel competent. Give it time, and good luck on your practicals and your written. :)

its only your last class if you pass.

Last Class for me also

I finished my last class and passed the practicals also. I had the state certification test to take but missed it because of the snow storm. I rescheduled it for the end of January. Does any one know of any good books to buy to study for the New Jersey State EMT-B exam?

thanks for all the well wishes class was pretty fun last night
we had a mock MCI event where they made the room dark and set up strobes and had sirens and other noise going off it was cool we extracted our guy in less then nine mins

i am feeling confident that i will pass my test i just dont feel like an EMT yet maybe it will take a while maybe i have to been with a squad to feel like one who knows:blink:

I am certified in two states and have been certified since June. I don't feel like an EMT yet. I also haven't worked yet. So I think you really need to work before you can really feel like an EMT.

Yup, spend a little time on a squad and you'll forget you were ever new. :D

Congratulations, and good luck on the Registry!

be we didnt get the c-spine right away and then fumbled getting her on to the back board because it was only two of us i let go of the c spine:o it was really messed up then the patient went unconscious and i just froze

this all stuff i know to do but i just couldn't seam to get it together on this one

you will feel like an EMT when you start riding, but getting a pretty envelope in the mail with a letter and a patch made me feel pretty damn special.

I felt special when I got the keycode to the nurses supply room with the free soft drinks.
