To call or not to call

Hi all,

I just have a question about a job search. I've been in contact with a company over the past month, took their pre employment testing and passed. A few weeks after the test, on Friday, she sent me an email saying that she would be in contact with me early next week after she meets with the scheduling department regarding open shifts and availability.

A week has passed and she has not contacted me. My question is, should I call her or continue to wait (assuming she's just late or very busy). I don't want to seem pushy, obviously, and this is a job I really want.

If I do call her, what should I say?

Yes, call. Say that you were interested in doing a follow up and wanted to touch bases.


Show interest in the company.

Always call back if they don't, i call every place i applied at atleast once a week if not every other week because i want them to remember my name. Wheather or not i get a call back is a different story.
