The perfect job.

I was thinking about it this evening, and think I have it figured out.

My perfect job would be as a single paramedic, on a QRV/sprint vehicle. No partner.

It would have to pay OK, but 24 hour shifts would be just fine.

Now I just need to find it.

Our county runs a single paramedic squad in one of our more rural towns, works on a 24/48 schedule and to keep everyone from going insane from being he only person in the station, they do two months on a busy truck and one month on the squad.

Also, I wish I had ambien

I would volunteer to work the single medic truck exclusively.

I think we're moving closer to the single medic model all the time. 110 is now a single medic unit staffed every day shift, 109 is going to be staffed single medic all summer on day shifts, plus the normal single medic coverage we run on a day to day basis.

Thanks. That's good to hear about the single medic trucks, but I'm assuming you're still dispatching two medics to each call.
