Might need to be moved to the lounge?

Not sure where it would go so I put it here. Move if necessary.

At work, 8 hours into a 13. Posting at a OLR for the first break of the day.

Post when you have downtime at work.

I've been here for like 2 hours now.

I prefer running, makes the day go by quicker.

Breaks are nice, but anything that gets too long bores me.
 
I totally agree. Where I used to work was BUSY. they used to post us on street corners but there was never enuff down time to sleep. so I was like I want more down time and stuff. I moved 500 miles to NH for non-EMS reasons and have been missing the business. I call my current location a country club.

Maybe it's because I'm fairly new, or because I really enjoy my job no matter how simple it is (IFT, falls, diabetic emergencies, etc.), but I love actually doing stuff.

I like helping people, it's what I signed up for. If I can take a little nap, cool. But not all day.

Everyone else seems to loooooooove posting. Like, they want their first call of the day to be a post, and for it to stay that way.

I don't get it. I like breaks and all, but keep me occupied.

In unrelated news, my dispatchers love me lol.

LOL...dispatchers usually tolerate me...lol...

I will admit I like being busy coz it makes the day go by faster. and when I go home, I would rather be exhausted from working than sitting on my butt doing nothing and being bored to death.
 
Finally did a run. Short and sweet return to NH from OLR.

And...back to posting OLR.

Off in half an hour. Wish me luck folks.
 
I have angered the dispatch gods, and they have smote me tonight. I get back from a call, still amped up and awake, so I go on here to post. I finally get tired, I lay down, and WeWoWeWoWeWo... The alarm goes off. Currently 0420, trying for the rack again.
