I tried to come up with an imaginative title for this post and "Anti-Rant" was the best I could do. Not exactly smug enough to be considered gloating, nor rude enough to be considered, well..rude. What is the the reason for my exceedingly happy mood? I just got off the phone with my insurance agent and he informed me that my car insurance has just dropped fifteen HUNDRED dollars a year with the departure of my last son from the nest. He moved out a few weeks ago and finally got his car about 10 days ago, complete with his very own insurance policy. No kids in the house, everyone is working and happy doing it, and everyone in the house is healthy (this is not a common occurance, for reasons I won't go into here). In short, life is good; don't pinch me, I don't wanna wake up :)
 
Wow, that's quite a bit. My entire policy costs me under $500/year.. but I'm 31 and own a beat up old Ford Explorer. ;-)

Kids are expensive! :D
 
But I do miss them when the kitchen trash has to be taken out when it's raining... :P
 
Our kids will always check in, and still will take out the trash when asked!! congrats on the cash! hope you go and do something nice for yourself!:)
 
What a pleasant surprise! Enjoy the newfound "extra" cash you now have and the fact that the family is doing so well.
