Terrorist Attack in London

I guess I should clarify myself, while I agree with you that it is the symptom, not the disease, but I guess that I disagree with you in what the disease is. My personal theory is that the disease isn't political, it is humanity itself. While each person is individually able to commit acts of extraordinary compassion, humanity as a group commits acts of unbelievable attrocities that an individual wouldn't be able to do themselves.

My analogy to the roman empire is that america doesn't want to become the empire that it is tracked to be. Yet it doesn't want to be the team player that it has to be if it won't dominate. America is entirely enamored with the idea that we want people to love us, after all, we're good people, generally, why don't they like us? A principle of human interaction is that love is fickle and the person unpredictable, but a subject under fear is controllable, and predictable.

I'm sure this soo far off topic, it has absolutely nothing to do with EMS, but I would be happy to continue this discussion offline by e-mail, if you're interested.

very true, a good anology here could be if i threw litter out my truck window i could be fined, yet corporations can pollute the crap outta the planet.

another would be the German people of the 30's, good people really, do you think they just woke up one day and decided to be a fascist state?

oh the parrallels we could delve into eh?

in other words, the worlds only stupidpower?

America is entirely enamored with the idea that we want people to love us, after all, we're good people, generally, why don't they like us?

methinks this is where the people and the powers that be part company Luke. Let's put it this way, terrorism isn't just things that go boom.

An apt political addage is 'Follow the Money' , which means that the 4th and 5th pages of the Washington Post are where you'll find the real skinny, not the talking heads that tell us 'they hate us for our freedoms' (or a potus that talks to God)

A principle of human interaction is that love is fickle and the person unpredictable, but a subject under fear is controllable, and predictable
give that man a cigar! B)
now, being we all deal with the federal register , lets' take this another step. Both you, I , as well as any minion of Big Bro knows how excruiatingly slow the Fed's choke up anything right? But they had PA1 on the Congressional floor in under 6 weeks of 9/11 ! An all time record !!!
That's because the powers that be needed that fear factor , PA1 wasn't made to protect the citizen, so much as it was created to protect the gov from it's citizens.

I'm sure this soo far off topic, it has absolutely nothing to do with EMS, but I would be happy to continue this discussion offline by e-mail, if you're interested.

the term is interconnectability, in that we in ems are not isolated by any means from this issue, after all we could dig up many related issues, why not stab at the heart of it? Makes for a good read imho...

I went out to the range yesterday. Nat got Osama Bin Laden targets. I fired one 9mm, right into Osama's peepee. We took the target down and I'm framing it. Nat says I'm a "real woman". HEHEHE

And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I
wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and
guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, Kill,
KILL, KILL." And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and
he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down
yelling, "KILL, KILL." And the sargent came over, pinned a medal on me,
sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy."

more thought on ending terrorism.

stop supporting it....

what's the numero uno ME state w/WMD who's goverment rules over people living in a bubble

surprise!

we've spent enough on them to buy them a freakin' country (or at least move them all to Montana in lieu of availability)

they are oppressive, rascist, and quite mad after 3 generations of abuse, that ironically has resulted in a full circle morph

but hey, it's just another day in the United States of Apathy if you want it to be

I wonder how many here got the news this was a domestic incident? There was even a phoney Al Queada memo involved early on

Now that all the political blowhards have had thier way , on thier sopaboxes ranting about the ME, pumping up exactly the response they anticipated

while getting them by other nasty little focuses of our attention at that

thus the addage , when other run, walk, never fit better
