I hope this isn't a rehash of previously discussed problems, I looked around and didn't see any, so I'm hoping this is useful and interesting for the community (and me too...).
The short story is this: I got my basic in CA 18-20 months ago, and I haven't been able to find work in the field since then. I have been volunteering at a hospital in San Francisco. I am med-school bound. I am relocating to the DC area in late May for the summer. I am wondering if there are any temp positions in the health care/EMS field that I should be looking for.
I'd love to get an ambulance gig, but if I'm there for only 3 months and have no experience, that seems like an unrealistic goal.
With a BA and an EMT-B, what kinds of jobs in the DC area can I realistically expect to compete for? ED scribe? Nurses' aide? Temporary on-call ED tech?
