stupid question about state written

I was told if you fail the State written exam they let you know in 2 weeks, rather than waiting the 4-6 weeks out. Is there any truth to that?

it probably varies state to state...i have never heard this

When I got mine, my instructor did call me a couple of weeks after the written and told me that I had passed and told some others they had failed. I am not sure if that have access to a listing that we don't or if they get notified as soon as the test are graded. Either way, you can't do anything as an EMT until you get your card, so you will still have to wait the 4-6 weeks anyway if you pass.
