HlHey everyone. I've worked in the field over 6 years. I've also worked a tad bit as a remote medic. I was curious what the pay is in hospital vs the streets. I have heard some tech jobs paying upwards $20/hr. If any of y'all have teched in tx does that sound legit? Heard cooks children's in fort worth pays around that as well as john peter smith. Any input is appreciated

In Tx, the highest I've heard an ER tech get is $12-13 an hour. That's south Texas. Not sure what part you're in.

Agreed. But many of the techs here are basics anyway. And they typically dont pay more for you being a medic, it just makes it a little easier to get the job. A friend I graduated medic school with stayed as an ER registration clerk because she would have had to take a $2/hr pay cut as a tech.

Most of the ERs here in El Paso are hiring Intermediates and above at $16.00+ an hour. They also offer RN sponsorships.

Del Sol, Sierra Providence, Las Palmas.

Cooks pays $20+ from what I remember but only to their seasonal employees. Most places your looking at $15-$17/hr.
