I am trying to figure out if there is a list somewhere that shows which states recognize National Registry and which do not. I have seen that some states to not require you to maintain your National Registry certification but simply your state, others, like Louisiana, require you to maintain it as well as your state, and others simply do not recognize the testing of National Registry at all. The latter I have heard makes it difficult to transfer from state to state and be certified if the destination state does not recognize National Registry.

I ask this because there may be a chance I have to move in order to gain employment and thus want to know what my options are.

GA recognizes NREMT and requires it for initial certification, after which NREMT is not required. As for reciprocity, the rule is generally as long as your coming from a state that used NREMT for certification, you just have to pay the state and show your NREMT card and your good to go.
