Welcome aboard Jason!! I started back in February and we're about 3/4 done. We have PALS/ACLS starting in a week and then our last set of clinicals.

If you need anything, let me know. If you like learning, you'll LOVE medic school!

Take care man,

My first day is this coming Saturday. I'm upbeat, positive and also at the same time, wondering what in the world am I getting in to?

My first day of class is tonight.. Super excited but also a bit nervous lol..

You guys are going to do GREAT!! I've come to the conclusion that medic school can be broken down into 3 different areas of success/failure: knowledge, skills, and paperwork.

Knowledge is obvious. Studying, memorizing, recalling, applying and test/quiz taking. So, just come up with a way to do this.

Skills is also obvious. We need to be able to do the "hands on" portion of the class, whether it be cardioversion, pacing, drug admin, starting IV/IO, stuff like that. So, this just takes practice.

But, the paperwork portion can kill you too. Come up with a system where you know exactly what paperwork you need and when. For example, I'm going through a college for my medic class, so there's ALWAYS a new e-mail from our instructor with stuff that needs printed out and turned in.

So, by being organized, you'll increase your odds at success dramatically. Let's keep in touch and get thru this class. I think you guys will be glad you started.

Take care,
