Just taking a survey... what does your company or ambulance companies in your area charge for ALS standby for special events? Paramedic/Basic/ambulance.... Thanks!

Don't know, don't care. It is not important for me to know and do not want it to come into play with patient care. Others may have a different POV.

Of course it shouldn't affect patient care... I think you misunderstood the point of the question... I'm just simply looking for what the variances are in different regions. In some areas it might be $75 an hour, in others it might be $150...

For a basic stand by it is somewhere around the lines of 75 to 100 and hour. That is 1 basic. No ambulance. Just one of us and a jump bag.

The price goes up for the rest.

I believe we charge $75/hr for a Paramedic/Basic truck that is non dedicated. We use these for football games and what not, these trucks still respond to 911 calls as needed.

I think we charge $150/hr for a Basic/Basic truck that is dedicated to the event, only time I've heard this used is when we standby for "for profit" events...races and stuff.

We charge $100.00 an hour for two medics and an ambulance.

So why did you answer????????

You're on a different sheet of music than the OP anyways.

OP, I have typically charged $100 per hour for a MICU level staffed ambulance for a dedicated unit or $75 per hour + any transport expenses for a non-dedicated unit.
