Does anyone have any information or experience with the EMS Basic class through St Anthony's in Denver? Good? Bad? whatever.......

thanks

Nothing at all? Nobody has an info? I know Denver Health has a good program but they were full. Should I wait for the next class or attend St Anthony's?

I've heard mixed things about St. Anthony's. It is a very old program and had a stellar reputation for a long time. Now, different people will tell you drastically different things.

One of the things that sticks out about is the fact that it's one of two programs in the metro area that does NOT require college anatomy and physiology as a pre-req, and it's a comparatively short program.

It is definitely challenging, though. I recently had a friend drop from the program because he couldn't keep his test scores up. He's extremely intelligent and has 6+ years ALS experience, FTO for AMR, FD Lt., etc.

I've heard from a few DH medics that getting into DH's program is going to be extremely difficult for non-DH EMTs for the next few cycles, because they're putting a bunch of their own EMTs through the program.

You should check out HealthONE. They start up a new program in January. Community College of Aurora also has one.
