Special groups of people when dealing with heart compromise PTS

When dealing with possible heart compromise Pts. there are several groups of people that report different pain. Those people include Elderly, Diabetic, and women.

Why are women considered different? This puzzled me in class.

There is no known answer (well... to my knowledge). They just do. That is why we are taught a wide range of different S/S to look out for. They don't always get the classic "Crushing pain radiating to the left arm", it can be something so "mundane" as anxiety, shortness of breath, or "flu-like" feelings.
