Southwest or PMT?

Hi everyone. I am a brand new EMT B and I have been offered a job at both Southwest and PMT here in Phoenix and I am trying to decide which company to work for (what a great problem to have!).

There is a small pay difference. But, both are full time and reportedly have plenty of overtime available.

I am new to the area and I am wondering if I can get some advice from any folks in the area.

I greatly appreciate your insight.

Thanks!

I'm not from the area, but I can offer some general advice. Southwest has a pension, I think. Always go with the pension.

I don't see any mention of a defined benefit plan for PMT.

What is the schedule? What is the promotional process? How is their pension benefit calculated? Who do they use for their deferred comp? What is their medical plan? What is their leave policy? Mandatory OT? Paid training, hopefully on duty? Union protection? Hourly salary? 40 hours? 48, 56, 72? Out of pocket expense? Do your homework.
