Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum, and I have a few questions for anyone who knows the answer. I have an interview with Care Ambulance in Orange, CA tomorrow, and wanted to touch up on some questions that I either can't find the answer too, or am having trouble finding it. Any help would be appreciated!

  1. There is a question talking about ventilating a patient in cardiac compromise, and one of the options was oxygenate at 10-12 lpm on non-rebreather unless they have COPD, than use PPV. ( I am very confused on this question, and vaguely remember from my class that ventilating a COPD patient could potentially do more harm than good, on the flipside, I have read that for test purposes you should never choose to withhold oxygen from a patient?)
  2. The most common heart rhythm in cardiac distress: A-Fib,V-Fib, or V-Tac?
  3. A woman was involved in an MCI and was presented in front of her car on the ground (went through the windshield) and has her knees to her chest but does not specify pain anywhere. Would this answer be trauma to the abdomen?
  4. Is nausea and vomiting a sign/symptom of going into shock?
  5. Most common cause of cardiac compromise in infants and children: Respiratory Distress?
  6. Cause of death for 5-15% of alcoholics: Delirium Tremens or Major Seizures?
  7. Most common cause of seizures or respiratory distress or cardiac issues in infants: Fever?
  8. Fluid surrounding the brain: CSF?
  9. Manual inline stabilization before or after opening an airway?

A couple weeks ago I interviewed with Care and missed too many on the written test to move on ( I thought i did very well ). I was told the test will either be the same or similar from the very nice lady with HR so I am trying to touch up on a few of the questions I remembered to make sure I chose the right answer. Once again, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,
Barrett Brown

Hi. We don't provide test answers here. All of these are easily researched. Go back and retread your text. :)

Good luck.
