Hello Everyone,

I'm new to EMT Life and I'm currently in an EMT-B program in Wisconsin. I've been trying to keep up and I'm in the process of getting a tutor, but for now I'm hoping I might be able to get some help on here. I failed my first test in the class and have to retake it but this time around it's essays instead of multiple choice. (on a side not failing is anything under 79% and I got 74% on my test) I'm stuck on a question because I have to come up with reasons and examples for transporting bls or als and for calling air medical support. So what I believe she's wanting is scenarios and I can't think of any my mind is more of a bullets this is what you do not a I have to think of an idea of something that could happen. I know being an emt is being able to adapt and I can adapt but thinking of Hypothetical scenarios not so much. Please let me know if you can help me come up with some scenarios I've been trying to figure this out for 3 days and I can't think of anything. Thanks in advance

It's hard to come up with scenarios when you haven't been on real calls yet.

Look at your county protocols for BLS vs ALS treatment of some common issues. There might even be a section on air mobilization criteria too.

Just to give you an idea. Any patient needing medication interventions=ALS

You could also listen to your dispatch radio and see what kind of calls are coming across the radio, use those as starting point for determine treatment plan based on your protocols.
