I recently received a call inviting me to take a pre-employment test with Shoreline EMS. If anyone that works for the company or has tested with them has any information on the test/hiring process i would greatly appreciate information regarding in specific number of visits before employment was offered, materials covered in pre-employment test, "do's and don'ts", and if they work with people whom are located far from the company during the hiring process.

need information on Shoreline EMS hiring process

Thank you

Its the easiest test you'll ever take in your life. As far as working with people who live far, I'm 48 miles from the station and another emt-b is nearly 70 miles (one way). So ya, they don't stress it too much. Employment was offered to all the new hires on the spot, in my case there wasn't even an interview. Its really laid back there, the dispatch crew is all super awesome and helpful.

As far as do's and don't's. Don't be late, be early. Don't show up in tactical pants and boots and play a ricky resque. Interview attire. Um, and just do your thing. Make sure you have something to write with. Just basic interview stuff.

wonderful, thanks for the reply i had read your earlier post on the company, congrats on getting hired. I talked with the office yesterday and they were really flexible, ive got a phone interview set up for thursday. thanks again.

don't be late.. test is the same as other pre employment tests.. you'll pass it for sure.. if you don't have a clean driving record, don't even bother coming in for an interview.. i had an interview with them, did the test and everything, only to be turned down because i had an accident and a suspended lisence on my driving record.. they're really nice people, i plan on applying again in a couple of years once my record is clean..
