I got called in for an interiview and it states. " The first step in the hirung process requires that you complete a physical agility test. Should you pass the exam you will then be given a EMT written exam and a scenarios based exam. If all the above is successfully completed you will then be given an interview." Then you go in for orientation week (3days) then at the end you hAve to take EVOC. My question is , I'm 19 , don't you need to be 21 to drive the ambulance? Or can you be 19 and drive them? Just curious , because it doesn't say anything on their website

There is no "hard and fast" rule for the age of an ambulance operator in most states. Rather, most companies have specific insurance requirements for the age/qualifications of an ambulance operator. It will likely be dependent on your employer's insurance. Many companies require operators to be >21, however there are quite a few non-profit companies that do not require operators to be 21.

Also if anyone else knows , can u give me a couple ideas of what the "scenario based questions " are ? Like are they things such as " if you get called to a elderly male with chest pains what would you do" or is it other types of scenarios ? Just wanna be prepared

You can be 18 for senior care.
Scenarios are easy, just know your ptorocols and you'll be fine. The hiring process there at SCEMS is a joke
