Hello everyone, I hate to be redundant and if I am I do apologize. I have searched effortlessly in the threads for info regarding Offshore medics. I have searched the web as well and still not finding what exactly I am looking for.
I am a paramedic in TN and I also hold my National Registry and going through the refresher course as we type. I would like to expand my skill set and gain other experience in areas other than a 911 system. Don't get me wrong I do love the agency I am with as it is a county job, but after seeing what offshore medics make a year and the rotation schedule, I want to see if it will be good fit or not.
I would like to know the actual requirements for a medic with zero offshore experience and how to get his foot in the door? What classes need to be taken prior to or after being hired and where does one get those classes? Any info will be helpful.
