anybody know what arcadian starts out for new medics in San antonio?

Thanks..any big diff between arcadian and AMR? I had an interview with shertz, but couldn't make it because of military retirement on the same day..after twenty years in the military, you learn to make the best out of any company....so guess I'm looking. For dynamics, calls, system..would like more 911 than transfers
 
Acadian is much more prevalent in SA than AMR is. Acadian has the county 911 contract, as well as some other outlying areas, and do most of the CCT calls, along with a large amount of typical IFTs.

AMR does some IFTs, does 911 for Fort Sam, and does 911 for some rural outskirts areas like Frio County.

Acadian pays a little more than AMR also.

You'll have many more opportunities at Acadian.
 
The pay is good. I used to work there. Acadian has the contract for Bexar county and Medina county which is adjacent also Live Oak county is about one hour away and Acadian runs 3 trucks there. I worked the Critical Care truck and loved it 731 night shift is the best unit, Critical Care/911 all night. It has been 2 years so maybe a few things have changed. The calls were good the people were nice the company is greedy.
 
Acadian stock (which you get after being there 1 yr) is going up every year. They are growing leaps and bounds. You also have the opportunity to work their over divisions, and transfer within the company. Every place has it's problems, Acadian is no different. I've been with their Offshore Division for 4.5 years and love it. It is nice being able to email everyone from the President/CEO down, we get updates on how the company is doing constantly, and out of their 42 or so years, only 2 years have they gone without giving a raise.
