Rural/Metro to pay $2.8M in Medicare fraud case

Rural/Metro will pay the federal government $2.8 million to settle claims that the ambulance company fraudulently billed Medicare for ambulance trips between hospitals.

The Scottsdale-based company billed Medicare for emergency ambulance trips when they were non-emergency rides between hospitals, according to John Leonardo, the U.S. attorney for Arizona.

Things just seem to be getting worse for them....

Absolutely one of the worst employers I have ever worked for.


I understand that RMA's profits are what put's food on employee's tables, but when profits supreme over patient care so much that you passively require EMT's to outright lie on their PCR's, that IMO is complete bull-S. But what can you expect when you are working for the wal-mart of ambulance service.
