I got fully certified last year for all my EMT certs, ambulance, and all that good stuff.I work at Starbucks right now because I had no luck finding an EMT job. I applied to every ambulance company in San Diego expect for Rural Metro. I figured I could not find a job because I'm still 19 and have one point on my license (turn 20 July 1, and the point goes away in September). However, this guy from Rural Metro; he says he maintains the ambulances has come into my work and I was telling him about my situation; he basically told me to come down and apply. My question is what is Rural Metros hiring process consist of? Is it a written, oral and physical test? I'm just looking for some information about how to prepare for their process.

Thank you for everyone that takes the time to answer.

well I am not sure if Rural metro San Diego is the same as Denver but they have to be pretty similar. Here they involve an oral interview, written, and a scenario which is normally a cor, diabetic, or psych pt. It is always worth it to call the company and ask about your application/if they are hiring at that time! Good luck!
