Reciprocity from unaccredited to accredited programs?

I'm looking at moving from AZ to WA, and have run into the fact that my paramedic program here in AZ was unaccredited. WA does offer reciprocity, but only for someone coming from an accredited program. Do I have any options other than taking an accredited course? I'm already a National Registry Medic. I looked at the challenge option for WA, and it also mentioned the need to have come from an accredited course. I haven't found anything about what options I may have. Anyone else run into this situation?

Where in Washington? You'll want to call the local county EMS office and talk to them directly. Calling the state in Olympia will frustrate you and make you want to smash things.

Also, you know you can't get a WA cert until you're affiliated with an agency, right? So, unless you have a line on a job, it's kind of a moot point now.

I've got a prospect in the Tri-cities area, in SE Washington. I'll definitely call the county on Monday and see what they have to say.

I'm just kind of stumped that I can have a NR cert, but be told that it's basically worth nothing because of the college I took it at. I realize that the state can set whatever restrictions they want, but it's frustrating to say the least.

If you wind upon Washington, you'll see that they do a lot of things you won't agree with. ;) Eastern WA isn't as bad as the west side though.
