Hello again.
In doing some more research into NREMT I was looking into the recertification process.
I currently am on a Fire Department and assigned to an Engine company only, I do not ride rescue.
Now under the recertification FAQ it states that in order to recertify you need to be actively affiliated with an ambulance/rescue organization and that these organizations include fire departments, ems response units, etc. So reading this I would assume I would be OK to recertify.
But then the recertification form reads: By completing this section you are indicating you are currently performing EMT-Basic skills in either the emergency ambulance/rescue or patient/health care setting.
We arn't really performing many EMT skills aside from a few MVAs and maybe the occasional EMS run.
So my question is would I be eligible for recertification if I only work on an Engine company?
