recert by test timeline

so i'm planning on recerting my NR emt license by test and my question was regarding the timeline. on the NR website it says i need to take the test before march 31st (my exp date) however on other areas of the site it says i need to take it before march 15th. any ideas?

also, anyone have any ideas how long it takes them (assuming i pass) to mail out the accelerated recert forms?

I would just say try to take it ASAP. And or call NREMT and ask.
