Question about signing up for the written exam.

I'm all signed up for the practicals exam but am confused about how to sign up for the NREMT written exam on the NREMT website. When you go to fill out an application, do you select Assesment-Basic?

assessment, if i'm not mistaken, is only for reciprocity and things like that - transfer of medics to a different state. im challenging as an RN, so i have to take the 'assessment' test to get my state provisional license. after (if) i pass my assessment test, i go back and take my test that doesnt have 'assessment' beside it to get my NREMT-P. so if you've taken a basic course and aren't re-certifying for some reason, i dont think you should select the 'assessment' option. might want to call your state DHEC EMS division to be 100% sure.
