I took my EMS class in Michigan in 2007, finishing in December of 2007. I passed my practical exam. Right after I finished the class, I moved to Indiana due to family health issues. In November of 2009 I moved BACK to Michigan, and took my cognitive exam. I passed it as well, but since it had been more than a year from the time I took my practical, the practical expired and I now have to retest. My question is, now that it is March of 2010 (4 months past the 2 year mark), is it now too late to go take my practical again since it has been more than 2 years since the end of my class? I am worried I am going to have to take the whole class again due to the practical being passed in 2007, just over the 2 year mark, and would appreciate any help/advice anyone could give. Thanks =)

you should probably contact nremt.org

unless you want to trust people you don't even know...

Ok I live in michigan so I can help hopefully. If it has been longer then 2 years 0 months then you cannot retake the practical because it has been 2 years 0 months after your class ended. You are 4 months passed that. You have to take a refresher class I believe and then retake the practical.

My question is why didnt you take your written test in Indiana? Indiana is a NREMT state and yes you can take your written down there and it would still be good for michigan. You should of did that to avoid all of this.

But call the nremt and they will tell you to more and likely take a refresher class
