Just to get metacommunicative for a moment, can we individually try to strike a better balance between exciting heated exchanges and "sharing the tent"?

I am getting turned off reading "replies" which are "passive" aggressive attacks (as in "I don't understand what you were thinking" or "If you had a brain in your head" or "Why are you killing patients?"). Often the replies don't even have bearing upon the original post, and so are lost even though they can contain really good stuff amongst the debris.

On the other hand, a good dustup keeps things alive.

Can't we speak more to the OP's subject and less at each other? Or take it to the PM's?

PS: mea culpa
