while in the army I had a few acronyms. One was
CPRTLCSPNV
Cool Clamy Skin
Paleness of the skin
Restlessness ( or neverousness)
Tenderness
Loss of
Consciousness
Sweating
P ______ <--- cant remember
Nervous
Vomiting

and others of this nature. Is there a list anyware for these? Ones that have helped you?

DCAP-BTLS--Never really used outside of EMT-B class.

OPQRST / SAMPLE-- Useful when you're first doing pt assessments, but then you go with your own unique way that gets the job done.

H's and T's-- Cardiac arrest related.
PATCHMMMMMD (Said as "Patch 5 MD")- Same as H's and T's, just a different way of memorizing the causes.

Only one I've heard of outside of EMS is "OPQRST," and that's used for all complaints to clarify the history of present illness, not just for pain.

I know of OPQRST and SAMPLE Already. I like those. but I was looking for other mnemonics

I've used DCAP-BTLS but obviously only on trauma patients. SAMPLE and OPQRST are the best cause they can be used on any patient.

Sigh... DCAP-BTLS is the most useless thing ever invented.

Objective

Plan

Complaint
Hx
Assessment
Rx (Meds)
Treatment

I don't actually use either.

Seriously... can't we just say "traumatic injury?"
