One of the best parts of leading an agency is seeing my team succeed.
A newly graduated paramedic, three new Advanced EMTs and several new baby EMTs are all in my agency and giving them tools to succeed and watching them grow into their new roles is one of the most rewarding things I get to do.
Even if you’re tired and jaded, remember that there are new people coming into the field that are learning to love EMS and you need to fan that flame, not piss on it with your salty attitude.
