I just finished my EMT class and I took the practicals about a month ago and I took the written today. I found out a few weeks ago that I am pregnant and now I am wondering if I should bother trying for a job at a local service now or if I should just wait untill I have my child?

Congrats on the baby!! You'll have to check with the company. Some companies will not allow you to have patient contact once you enter your third trimester. If you can get your foot in the door now you may be able to complete any probationary time now and not worry about it after the baby. I assume you are refering to a paid EMT position. If that's the case you might be able to get on with a volunteer company if your town has one. Good luck!!

And if you're looking to keep working, most depts/companies/agencies are always looking for dispatchers.
