Plastic pieces in bench seats

I was sitting the ambulance today and seen these plastic parts and asked my partner what they were for and he didn't know either I looked on the other units and they didn't have them anyone know what they used for?

There should be a pair of rectangular cups at one end and a pair of circular ones at the other so you can place a #9 portable stretcher on the bench if needed.
