Patients in the rain

My response had no whining at all in it.....just shows how much medics feel above emts.

Obviously dont realise they were a new emt at one time and probaly asked questions others thought were stupid.

Hopefully one day you can get over yourself.

To everyone else. Thank you for the common sense answers.
I'm sorry, but that was whining. And this comment was also whining. Perhaps you should stop while you are ahead.

Your question had nothing to do with being a new EMT, and everything to do with, as Sandpitmedic and YOU YOURSELF pointed out, not using common sense. You asked how to keep someone from getting wet. Perhaps do what you would do to keep yourself from getting wet, ie cover them with something. Since you can't really put a raincoat on them, maybe use an extra sheet or blanket...or a disposable plastic sheet if you carry them. Perhaps use an umbrella. Like you said...common sense, and nothing to do with being a new EMT. You asked how and when to use a rain blanket. Never heard of them, but as to when...I'll hazard a guess and say when it's raining. For how...probably by unfolding it and putting it on/over the patient. Again, LIKE YOU SAID, common sense, and nothing to do with being a new EMT.

Then Sandpitmedic pointed out that you were not USING common sense...and you responded with a nice snarky comment. When you should have realized that yes, you were in fact not using common sense and not trying to think for yourself and moved on.

Do you see where you went wrong?
