Passed written & practical; now what?

I apologize if this was asked before, but I searched the forums and couldn't find anything. Anyway I passed my written exam, then did a retest for 3 stations last night and got the email from my instructor saying I passed it. He said I have to wait for the state (CT) to process my application (about 2 months). What do people usually do to apply for jobs before they get their cards? Or what can they do? I checked my state's OEMS website and found my name in license lookup with "pending". I couldn't find my license number, and the job applications ask for one.

Do I have to wait 2 months for my number to appear? Or is there anything I can do that would let me apply for jobs?

Wow state cert without agency sponsorship or outside agency (NREMT) test?
 
I did the NREMT too.
 
Every ems job I have applied for required my provider number on the app. I would call your states EMS office and get whatever you can.
