Paramedic tried to murder partner, court told
A NEWCASTLE paramedic accused of attempting to murder his former partner, a nurse, had repeatedly deceived her during their eight-year relationship and twice assaulted her during arguments, a court heard yesterday.
Leanne Egan told police that David Higgins, 47, had lured her to her home the day of the alleged attack, on December 12 last year, with another lie, concerning a child he was caring for.
