Sorry, I know this is a stretch but technically it is related to EMS due to head and neck injuries. Really, I just want to see if someone has an answer. Have you ever noticed that nearly every TV show and moreso in movies that there are no head rests in the cars? Even when there are no characters in the back. I don't get it.

Well now I am going to notice LOL

I hadn't noticed that though, I guess they get in the way of the shot or something. My mother removed the headrests in the back seat of her car when the grandkids were born so she strap the car seat in and not the kids are older and I keep bugging her to put them back in, but she keeps procrastinating. I would do it myself but have no idea where they are.

I haven't noticed, but I'm sure it has something to do with the line of sight for the cameras.

It either gets in the way of equipment or leads to a feeling of a small field of view. They want as much of the outside world showing as possible to make it apparent that the characters are driving. At least that's what my director friend says.

Sort of like how there's always one side of the dining room table where no one sits.

Notice that if the camera is in the backseat, there will be no rear view mirrors!

Okay, I need to watch That 70's show then. They're in the car and eating enough to show this!
