Cy-Fair utilizes a paid full-time EMS staff on it's front line units.

I thought they were a hybrid dept. I remember someone telling me to look there for a paid EMT-I position this summer when I was looking for a job... or was that Cy-Creek? I kinda get those two confused sometimes

Both hire EMT-I's. Both agencies are primarily staffed with full-time employees and supplemented with volunteers. The quantity of volunteer staff in both agencies has declined tremendously over the last decade.

Yea, that's what I thought I was told. But both had a hiring freeze with no idea when they were going to do another hiring class
