590 back to normal after patient jumps out of moving ambulance

What an unbelievable scene on I-590 this morning. A mental health patient threw himself out of the back of a moving ambulance. The man, still unidentified by police, is alive at Strong hospital.

It's amazing he wasn't hit by one of the cars on that busy highway. We tracked down a driver who narrowly missed him.

Good reminder that when transporting psych patients doors should be locked, multiple seatbelts on. I liked buckling at least one of the buckles with the release button towards the patient, so a little harder to undo. Not sure what happened on this call but most of the time you should be able to yell and have your partner stop the rig in the time it take the patient to undo three seatbelts, stand up and figure out how to unlock the doors.

Had 2 calls like it. One like a tech and one like a driver... Not very fun.
