I'm in the army, deployed to Afghanistan right now.. We are getting back to the states soon and I am starting AIT to reclass to a 68W early next year.
One of the flight medics here gave me "Pre-Hospital Emergency Pharmecology" by Brady and "Rosen and Barkin's 5-minute Emergency Medicine Consult." He said those were the only two books that they had copies of, but it would help especially if I go on to be a flight medic.. (which is what I want to do). He also advised me to get books on anatomy and physiology.
My questions are: Does anyone have any specific anatomy and physiology books in mind that I should look into buying?
Also, am I wasting my time in reading all these books and should I just look into getting a NREMT study guide? If so, which one would y'all recommend? I have been looking at Kaplan's.. but I found mixed reviews on it. Thanks for your help!
