Hey! It's been since before even starting the basic program that I posted here. Been lurking a bit though, when I had questions. Took my exam yesterday and my goodness I thought I failed for sure! There were a few I don't remember even seeing in my text book and trust me I read all 1500 pages of that SOB a couple times lol. Top of my class and a 98 wrapping it up. So I was floored and very upset when I left the testing center yesterday.

But I passed... time for some sun, sand and cold beer =) Then onto the paramedic program in August.
 
Thanks... I assume you're referring to medic school.
 
Yeah my freind is in medic school, and after seeing some of the stuff they have to learn I felt bad for complaining about basic school.
 
I hear it can be tough...but I really do love medicine. As long as I'm intrigued by the info... I'll have no problem retaining it. The only part that truly worries me about medic school is when it's time to throw all the clinical hours in the mix... with class and 30 hrs of work, I may go crazy haha. I will make it though...
 
Congratulations!!! Where are you going for medic school? Either way, have fun and don't give up!!
 
Thanks Pete! I'm going through the National EMS Academy in Beaumont, which is a branch of UTHSCSA.

I can't give up my current job to make basic wages while in the medic program. So I plan to volunteer at my local ems whenever I can. Which won't be much, especially after the class starts. Any ideas on how to land paid, event jobs?... that would be perfect with my schedule.
