First I'd like to say thanks to the members of this forum, this is my first post but I have come here often throughout my paramedic school to gain tips.
Anyways, I graduated my medic school about 3 months ago. I put off taking the NREMT exams, but I finally decided to go ahead and do it. I took my written test yesterday and went in without studying anything at all, in fact I was completely oblivious of what to expect questions wise. I ended up getting only about 3 questions relating to drug/drip calculations, maybe 2 questions about burns, and I can only remember one EKG interpretation, however, I was getting a ton of gyno questions and even more relating to the treatment of alcoholism, so I thought for sure I must be bombing those sections since it's adaptive. I went to the full 150 questions and left the testing center feeling slightly defeated, but kind of expected it due to my lack of preparation. But, I checked the NREMT website this morning and sure enough I passed!
A majority of my questions were insanely difficult (at least in my opinion), which I guess is a good thing since the questions are supposed to get harder the more you get right. But I felt like on those really difficult questions I was pretty much just guessing. I kind of feel like maybe I just had a few lucky guesses and managed to pass? Anyone else ever felt that way after taking this exam?
