First I'm in Connecticut and I failed KED,Medical and BVM... So I have to retest next week.

I thought I was pretty good on all of them but for what ever reason I failed...

If I retest and Pass 2 do I have to retest again?

I feel like a dummy is it normal to fail these even if you are prepared?

Is there anyone who is a tudor who can help me?

I did not expect to fail this.... but I did I wish they could tell me what I did wrong...

if you don't pass all 3 you will have to retake everything again after a refresher course.

Practice as much as you can. the more hands on time you have with equipment the better. for medical, know the skill sheet foreward and backward.

wow

Well that's the prob. How can I get my hands on a KED? or BVM

how long ago did you finish your program? is there any way you can go back to practice?

check with local squad or fd or whoever covers your area and see if you can practice there.

it may be in your best interest to do a refresher now to give you a better chance.

If you are anywhere near East Hartford, Code One Training Solutions offers an emt b practical skills group study session to prepare for testing. Can't remember how much it costs though.

Study those sheets like it's your job. Most people fail bvm because oxygenation is delayed more than 10 seconds. One of my instructors failed because he connected the oxygen top soon.

I failed my medical station initially; I know for a fact that I failed because I didn't verbalize that c-spine precautions weren't necessary due to the scenario which is a critical.

My instructor used to have us write out the assessment sheets from memory on a blank piece of paper to help us remember them.

Good luck on the re-take!

I would run over the sheets to practice mostly. I know my school surprised us by doing KED as the random after they told us it was not the random (not sure if they were supposed to tell us or not). We all were studying the KED sheet right before we went in. I failed that station because I forgot to check PMS after verbalizing the backboard because the last step in backboarding is PMS.

I would also look online for Youtube videos and check them as they do the station. It saved me.

I agree with the youtube videos. There's some really good ones on medical assessment and the other ones.
