Can someone out there can help me out how to categorize the emergency and non emergency services and I am very new to this EMS billing and so can someone send me some basic info about the EMS.

You probably need to sit down with someone at your current job to go over the ins and outs of billing for your agency. Every service has different forms and procedures, along with Medicare, Medicaid, Certificates of Medical Necessity, etc. It seems like I get a new form every week, and this is well after our switchover to a "paperless" PCR system. The best advice I can offer is to have a co-worker make up a few patients, then have you complete an entire package for your simulated patient. Lots of writing, but still a good way to learn.
