Apparently NJ has added new hours to the EMT - B course, as well as new material. I also heard that said students taking this new course will no longer become EMT-B's but become EMT-I's as NJ is going to start recognizing the EMT-I?

If this is true will their be a bridge course for current EMT-B's to EMT-I's? Having some trouble finding some information on this. If anyone can give me anything I'd appreciate it.

no no no.

you are being partially misinformed.

Yes, there will be new hours added to the EMT-B course. No, there will not be EMT-Is. NJ Does not have an EMT-I, nor will it have one in the near future.

There is not and will not be a bridge course to the EMT-I program.

It's all up to the legislature and the DOH to finalize the process but it's still a work in progress. Wait until a formal announcement is made, depending on what happens, it may not happen after all
