Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I recently put in an application for an EMT-B course. I worked as a lifeguard for 2 years and took an AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support class, which I enjoyed immensely. I am looking forward to pursuing a career in Emergency Medicine.

I do have a few questions I was hoping you all could answer. Can anyone vouch for the reputation and level of expertise at Rescue Training Inc in Orlando FL? I know the school you attend is very important in later getting a good EMT job.

Speaking of which, I would prefer to have the most high speed, action packed EMS assignment possible. I believe this would be on an ambulance team in a city? How can I maximize my chances of getting such a job with my minimal experience? Lastly what kind of hours do EMTs work? I've heard everything from 2 8 hour shifts a week to 3 24 hour shifts a week. Does it depend where you work, is based on time in service, or is it your preference?

I have many more questions but will curb my enthusiasm and withhold them for later. Thank you all for your time and for everything you do.
