It's a test on memory so just study the protocols and SOPs. The written test will be mostly recall and is pretty straight forward. For the oral part, don't be tempted to think outside the box. Just say what you would do, parrot fashion, and you will be fine. You usually won't be asked why you would do something, just what you would do.
Also, you can expect to see several questions that address the most recent changes. Make sure you know the latest additions and corrections.
Also, for the orals, it's not like the registry. You're not asking what you see from the dash, how many steps, how many kids are there, you're just choosing a protocol based on what they give you and regurgitating the steps.
Yea, it's straight memorization. When I took it, I rewrote the protocols a bunch of times to help study them. For the oral, make sure you know your med control options
